General Rules and Regulations

St. Xavier International School

Our General Rules and Regulations are as follows:

→ Admission will be made subject to availability of seats.

→ Pupils will be given Admission through proper channels only.

→ All students are expected to attend school on all school working days.

→ No leave of absence will be granted except on a written application from parent or guardian for a valid reason only.

→ A minimum of 80% of the total attendance in an Academic session would be necessary for the Final Examination and promotion.

→ Parents are requested to ensure that their children arrive and leave the school punctually.

→ Students must not bring mobile phones, walkmans or any similar gadgets to school.

→ All students are expected to speak strictly in English only.

→ Escort Identity card issued by the school is necessary for all parents to pick up the child from school.

→ If a parent expects the child to go back home on his/her own, they will have to submit an undertaking about the same.

→ No child will be handed over to a person not known to the school authorities/ security. In case of another person coming to pick up the child, the substitute is expected to have both Escort Identity Card and a letter of authority.

→ Parents/ Guardians are requested to come on time to pick up the child.

→ The school reserves the right to make changes in the school rules.


PROMOTION

→ Promotion to the next class will not be granted if the student fails in two or more than two subjects in the Final Examination.

→ All cases of doubt regarding promotion left entirely to the discretion of the Principal.

→ Parents/ Guardians must not come for reconsideration once the decision has been given.



WITHDRAWALS

→ Withdrawal notice must be given within 30 days of the last date of just completed term.

→ No refund of fees for withdrawal during term.

→ One clear calendar month's notice in writing or a month's fee in lieu of such notice must be given before withdrawal of the child.

→ Transfer certificate will not be issued until all dues of the school are settled.

→ Students can be asked to leave the school on the following grounds:

1) Misbehavior with any of the school staff.

2) Against proven indisciplinary action in the school premises or with the school students.

3) Failure in a class for two successive years.
